Dodge Ram – Heavy Duty And Bullet Proof

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

What full size pickup truck is built to last a lifetime, has a timeless design and has a shockingly solid drivetrain – the answer – Dodge Ram. The striking features possessed by this truck are:

  1. Bulletproof frame
  2. All new seating
  3. 5.7L Hemi V8 engine
  4. Multi link coil suspension
  5. Uconnect web access
  6. Dual Exhaust
  7. Rambox

You need to ride in a Dodge Ram to get an understanding of its capabilities and to truly appreciate how this truck manages any terrain with ease. The Dodge Ram is a 5.7L Hemi V8 with an impressive 390 Hp and 410 ft.lbs of torque. It consists of aluminum cylinder heads with crescent ignition compartments, with platinum sparkplugs for each cylinder ablaze by a distributorless ignition, which helps in disengaging half the engine’s cylinder in gas reduction mode when a reduced amount of power is required.

For more power requirements, the Dodge Ram offers the 4.7L SOHC V8 engine. If economy is a priority then perhaps the 3.7L V6 engine will suffice. The bulletproof body is upgraded due to the use of elevated power steel thereby making it lighter and sturdier.

The coil suspension with its soft traversing and comfort will make towing a breeze. The dual exhaust is adjusted to sound as striking as the trucks appearance. With the new seating, the Dodge Ram has 4 doors and 6 seats, all of which are adequate in size. The heated and ventilated seating provide comfort in whatever weather conditions. All the passengers have a choice to access Uconnect web through WIFI mobile. For storing tools and accessories, 74 cubic feet of lockable and durable storage called the Rambox will make life easier.

The Dodge Ram offers a lifetime powertrain warranty, the first of its kind in its class. This truck packs a punch, solid truck at a price that is realistic.

Cummins Turbo Diesel: The Cleanest Meanest Engine Around

Friday, January 29th, 2010

A true workhorse with best-in-class low-end torque, the Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel comes standard on all Ram 3500s. (In fact, it’s the only truck in its class to offer a diesel engine standard.) A truly peerless power train, the Cummins was a key reason that the Ram HD was named Motor Trend’s 2010 Truck of the Year.

But did you know it’s also one of the cleanest, quietest, most eco-friendly motors available? To put it in perspective, the Cummins Turbo Diesel met 2010 emission requirements way back in 2007 — leading the way for the innovations achieved in this year’s incarnation. Cummins used a High Pressure Common Rail fuel system and cooled exhaust gas recirculation to lower emissions. And they didn’t forget noise pollution in the process: the NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) dampening features in the 2010 model have led to a 50 percent quieter engine and all-around reduction in cabin noise levels. Wouldn’t you know it: The Ram Heavy Duty is the strong, silent type.

Buying A Used Dodge Ram – Used Dodge Trucks In Oklahoma

Friday, January 8th, 2010

Finding a good used Dodge Ram pickup involves doing some research and understanding the intended purpose of the truck. Many people purchase a pickup truck because of the convenience to transport large items. Others may select a pickup truck like the Dodge Ram specifically due to their line of work such as general contractors or landscaping companies.

When considering which Dodge Ram suits your needs there are many factors that can help save you some money by avoiding the heavy duty models which may be overkill for your application.

First thing that comes to mind about the benefits in driving a full size pickup like the Dodge Ram other than hauling capacity is ride quality. If you live in an area where roads are poorly maintained or perhaps in a rural area, the comfort during your drive is significantly improved in a larger sized truck. The Dodge Ram is an extremely solid truck that can change your daily driving experience from being jolted around to effectively handling serious potholes as if they were not even there.

The comfort in driving something as solid as a Dodge Ram comes from the entire vehicle structure being built for rough road conditions and it’s meant specifically to withstand them. Finding one that has been properly maintained is important in providing that experience.

Maintaining a Dodge Ram and the parts they were built with that complete the overall structure is very important. Some Dodge Ram owners may choose to replace parts with aftermarket Dodge replacement parts of lower quality. These will degrade over time and may lead to additional and costly repairs.

Finding a good solid Dodge Ram is best accomplished by knowing specifically what you want and ensuring the vehicle was properly maintained, have it inspected by a competent facility, preferably your local Dodge dealer.

Today with all the online resources at your disposal, finding a Dodge Ram for sale is not an impossible task, but considering your time and the overall ownership experience, finding a dealership who knows the Dodge Ram in finite detail can serve you well in getting exactly what you need.

Dodge Ram : American Muscle for Oklahoma

Burly sheet metal hides fire-breathing drivetrain and next-generation suspension design.

In the battle to build the world’s best full-size pickup truck, there can be only one victor. In order to stand tall in what is the most competitive vehicle market in North America, the engineers and designers at Dodge have created one of the more ruggedly handsome and startlingly powerful truck platforms available.

The result is the Dodge Ram, a vehicle whose very appearance makes a powerful statement, even before the ignition key has been turned. The Dodge Ram (MSRP $22,420) is beautiful in the way El Capitan is beautiful – an encapsulation of raw strength through the molding of primal elements, substituting steel and iron for rock and granite. The design invites both appreciation and admiration in the minds of truck buyers who can immediately sense the impressive capabilities that the Ram’s shape suggests. A bold billboard grille embraced by gently arching front fenders gives way to the slab sides of the passenger’s compartment and the cargo area, silent monuments to the strength embodied under the skin of the pickup.

The Dodge Ram has become known for its powerful HEMI V8 engine, and the notoriety is not without cause. The 5.7-liter mill grinds out 390 hp and 407 lb/ft of torque thanks to hemispherical combustion chambers and aluminum cylinder heads. Not only is the engine brawny, but it has brains, too. An efficient management system shuts down up to four of the engine’s cylinders when under light load. This allows for an excellent highway fuel economy rating of 20 mpg along with 14 mpg city. In fact, the large V8 is just as efficient as both the smaller, 215-hp 3.7-liter V6 and the entry level 310-hp 4.7-liter V8. Part of this above average fuel economy can also be linked to the decision to sculpt the Ram’s bodywork to offer the least amount of drag possible. A four-speed automatic transmission holds down the fort when it comes to shifting gears on V6 editions of the Dodge Ram while both V8s are equipped with a five-speed auto.
